Matthew Thomas has over 20 years experience in coaching and athlete development across a range of sports, from triathlon to rugby union. He is a PDHPE Teacher and Sports Coordinator at Crestwood High School, Sydney West Sports Triathlon Convenor and Convenor of the NSW All Schools Triathlon. Prior to working as a teacher Matthew played 1st grade rugby union for seven years and was heavily involved in athletics from a young age.

Matthew is passionate about triathlon and has competed across all triathlon distances and many individual discipline events. He founded TriAction with the aim of assisting others to achieve their triathlon goals.

One of Matthew's major assets, aside from his experience and qualifications, is his down-to-earth and welcoming style. Matthew welcomes people of all ages and abilities to his squads and is committed to supporting each athlete achieve their personal best.
